Prior to becoming a lawyer, I studied psychology because I was intrigued about human behaviour and the human mind. In 2016, I graduated summa cum laude (Highest Distinction) from York University, obtaining B.A. Honours in Psychology. My undergraduate studies, including courses like Psychology and the Law, sparked my interest in the legal industry.
As a young law student, I was immediately drawn to insurance law because I have always been passionate about helping others. From the very beginning, I envisioned myself representing injured people, helping them navigate the legal system against mighty insurance companies. Unlike our clients, insurance companies don’t have much to lose.
In law school, I was an active member of the student body and often contributed to the legal community, both inside and outside the University. During my second year, I was a caseworker for Legal Aid Ontario and provided legal services to low-income families. During my third-year, I acted as a writing leader for the University of Ottawa’s Legal Writing Academy where I instructed colleagues on point-first writing techniques. In addition, I was an associate editor and a Senior Editor of the Ottawa Law Review during the last two years of my studies. I successfully received my Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of Ottawa, with a focus in alternative dispute resolution techniques, including in negotiation and mediation.
Since obtaining my law degree, my practice has been focused exclusively on personal injury law. My background in psychology, paired with my extensive knowledge of insurance law, translates into superior compensation for accident victims.
I have appeared before various Tribunals (including the Licence Appeal Tribunal) and various levels of Court in Ontario (including the Small Claims Court, the Superior Court, and the Divisional Court).
When I am away from my desk, I enjoy everything football (soccer) related. I am an active player and an avid supporter of Arsenal and Real Madrid. I enjoy working out at the gym, dancing to my favourite tunes, cooking traditional Persian dishes, and spending time with friends and family.
